The Muskoka Watershed Council and District of Muskoka are hosting their annual Muskoka Stewardship conference and they’re inviting all Muskokans to get informed and play their part.

Dubbed Your Watershed: Connecting the Drops, the conference is set to take place April 26 at the Active Living Centre in Huntsville.

The goal of the conference is to help the public identify features in the local watershed and find out what you can do to help protect them for future generations, as well as the optimal way to live and thrive in the watershed without decreasing the many ecological benefits that it provides.

Speakers for this year’s conference include Chitra Gwoda from Conservation Ontario, who will discuss Watersheds 101, Dirk Janas to discuss the history of Muskoka’s landforms and their functions, Jack Imhof of Trout Unlimited Canada and several others.

Tickets are $60 before April 15, $75 afterwards and Students are $45.
