Nelson hopes to be back in the Octagon soon after close loss
On Saturday’s UFC Fight Night card, Huntsville’s Kyle “The Monster” Nelson lost by decision to England's Jai “Black Country Banger” Herbert following a 22-month layoff from the sport.
The final two rounds went to Herbert, who received a 29-28 victory from all three judges.
According to UFC Stats, Nelson who’s record is 13 & 5, scored more significant strikes, but Herbert had more control time.
Nelson said he felt like he was better than his opponent everywhere in the fight. “But I let the fight go to the judges in enemy territory. I still have more to show! No injuries hope to be back soon" he said.
