No Charges In King William Street Incident
A bear distraction device was determined to be the noise witnesses thought to be gunfire yesterday afternoon on King Williams Street in Huntsville.
Members from the Huntsville Detachment of the OPP were called to the area after reports of gun shots being heard.
In the interest of public safety, the OPP were forced to close a number of streets and keep people away from the immediate area.
Shortly before 6:30 in the evening, a 33-year-old Huntsville man was taken into police custody and remained there until late last night due to outstanding arrest warrants from previous offences.
Aside from the bear banger, Police also seized two airsoft guns.
The OPP states that the case investigators will not be filing further Criminal charges in relation to this incident
