No New Cases In Muskoka Despite High Numbers Province Wide
Ontario is reporting 851 new COVID-19 cases today and six more deaths. This comes after the province hit a new record-high of daily cases with 1,042 yesterday. Nearly 28,700 tests were completed.
The regions seeing modified Stage 2 restrictions are still housing majority of the cases.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit reported high numbers with 55 new cases throughout the district, and zero new cases in Muskoka.
Ontario’s health minister is suggesting the recent Thanksgiving festivities have affected the province’s efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 in a handful of hot spots. Christine Elliott also says stricter health measures imposed in the hot spots regions around the same time could help to lower case counts going forward.
