Online Activities Take Hold In South Muskoka
While the majority of businesses across Muskoka are now closed to the public, a number have decided to take things virtual.
From art classes, to live concerts and fitness sessions, online activities are being offered across the region as a way to give back and stay relevant.
In south Muskoka, Bracebridge is currently in the midst of a 14 day house party, with virtual events every day at 5 pm. So far there have been live jam sessions at the Griffin Gastropub, art classes with Let the Cat Go, and cooking classes with Charmaine Broughton, to name just a few. This week’s events include an 80s themed workout session, a course in beer education and lessons on going zero waste.
The events are put on by Bracebridge Tourism and you can check out the full lineup on their facebook page.
In Gravenhurst, a series of live events kicks off with a no-equipment workout put on by Iron Lodge Fitness at 7 pm Tuesday. The following day, Lifestyle by Design with Danielle Ryan will host a beginner’s yoga session at 2 pm. You can check out the full lineup on the Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page.
