OPP Say Crime Is Down In Muskoka
Crime in Muskoka is on the decline for 2018, according to the latest stats from the OPP.
During the most recent District of Muskoka council meeting, the OPP revealed their most current crime stats for the region.
According to their report, the OPP indicate that they had dealt with 7,410 calls for service so far in 2018, as compared to 8,298 at the same time last year.
Violent crime calls were down from 335 last year to 297 in 2018. Property crime violations dropped from 839 in 2017 to 773 in 2018 and drug possession also declined from 60 calls in 2017 to 48 this year.
