Parents to receive a 25% free reduction in District's Child Care program
The District of Muskoka operating as the service manager for Early Learning and Child Care in Muskoka, says they are working closely with the provincial government and local licensed child care operators to phase in an average of $10 a day per child for eligible families by 2026.
The District says families with children under the age of 6 enrolled in approved licensed child care programs, in most cases will receive a parent fee reduction of 25%, retroactive to April 1st.
It is anticipated families will receive parent fee rebates in the fall, pending operator enrollment.
The District is now accepting applications from licensed child care programs to enroll in the Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care System.
