Parry Sound 33 Still Not Under Control
The MNRF says that the fire known as Parry Sound 33 is still not under control and now measures 11,362 hectares.
Despite challenging winds and high temperatures over the weekend, crews managed to maintain the perimeter of the fire thanks to the placement of the hose lines.
Crews have made excellent progress over the last few days and now have hose lines around most of the fire perimeter. The MNRF says more work still needs to be done as crews will work inward to solidify the control lines.
