Parry Sound man charged with attempted murder

A Parry Sound man has been arrested for attempted murder. On Monday, OPP along with the Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team, Canine, and EMS, investigated an assault incident that took place on James Street in Parry Sound.
Police say that at approximately 1:00 a.m. they received a call to a residence after a victim was assaulted with a weapon. The victim was transported to hospital by EMS with non-life threating injuries.
The accused, 28 year-old Gregory Marshall-Jackson of Parry Sound was arrested and charged with:
- Attempt to commit murder, and
- Aggravated assault,
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to re-appear in a Parry Sound Court on July 13, 2022.
