Peterson To Take On Aitchison For Huntsville's Top Job
Huntsville activist Peggy Peterson has joined the race to become mayor of Huntsville. She will be challenging incumbent Scott Aitchison for the top job.
The race for District has ballooned to 6 candidates for 3 positions at the council table. It includes inclubents Nancy Alcock, and Brian Thompson. Town Councilor Bob Stone is seeking re-election as at the District table and former councilor Tim Withey is hoping for a comeback, this time as a District Councilor.
Lillian Fraser and Helena Renwick round out the list of people running for a spot at District Council.
There are 5 people running in Stisted, Stephenson and Port Sydney, which elects two.
Included in that list is incumbent Jason Fitzgerald, who was appointed by council at the start of the last term, after councilor Zanetti resigned. He is joined by Larry Horton, Wanda Lumley, Dione Schumacher and Charles Wilson.
In Brunel Ward, incumbent Dan Armour is being challenged by businessman Ken Inglis.
And councilors Karin Terziano and Jonathan Wiebe are acclaimed in Huntsville and Chaffey Wards.
