Pilot & Passenger Walk Away From Plane Crash
Yesterday, the Muskoka Lakes Fire Department, Bracebridge OPP and Muskoka Paramedics Services responded to a report of a float-plane crash on Tobins Island on Lake Rosseau.
The Fire Dept responded with two of their vessels to the incident, one was used to transport the paramedics to the scene and the other vessel headed directly to the scene.
The pilot and passenger were able to extricate themselves from the wreckage. The passenger was taken to neighbours and the pilot was transported by a private boat to the awaiting paramedics in Windermere..
Although the plane received extensive damage, there did not appear to be any leaking fluids or other hazards at the site.
This matter is being investigated by Transport Canada.
