Police Apprehend Toronto Shooter in Bracebridge
On Saturday, the OPP Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the Toronto Police Service (TPS) Gun Violence Suppression Unit engaged in a joint investigation into the whereabouts of a man wanted for charges relating to a shooting that occurred in a Toronto Library in early February.
The OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) executed a warrant at an address on Fraserburg Road in Bracebridge. Four parties were arrested, including the wanted man for the Toronto shooting. A loaded 9mm handgun was located as well as a .22 calibre handgun, .22 calibre rifle and a 12 gauge shotgun. In addition, cocaine and a large quantity of Canadian currency were seized.
The following people have been charged with multiple offences:
Nathaniel WHITE (20) and Brandon Anthony (Tony) HOWELL (25) of Toronto, and Blayne ROPER (30) and Kaitlyn BROOKS (23) of Bracebridge.
All accused were held in custody and will appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on February 25th.
