Police arrest two after drug bust
Police charged two people after executing a drug warrant in South River.
Police say that on Wednesday September 20th, OPP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act warrant at a residence on Tebby Boulevard in South River.
A search of the residence led to the seizure of Canadian currency over $350 and drugs suspected to be cocaine. The value of the drugs seized is believed to be approximately $6,000.
25-year-old April Vowels of South River, was charged with, possession of a scheduled I substance for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine.
She will appear in Court on November 9th.
41-year-old Jason Simpell, also of South River, was charged with:
- Possession of a scheduled I substance for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine, and
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
He will appear in Bail Court on September 29, 2023.
