Police Charge Man On Scooter With Alcohol Infractions
The Southern Georgian Bay OPP responded to a report of a person causing a disturbance at an establishment yesterday.
Police stopped a three wheeled electric scooter and the operator was investigated for drinking and driving.
As a result of this investigation an 81 year old man from Tay Township has been charged:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Police say the accused driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and he was released from police custody on a recognizance to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in November.
