Police Charge Man With Breaking Quarantine
On Thursday, Huntsville OPP charged a man with failing to comply with Quarantine Act
Police say that upon entering Canada a person must quarantine for 14 days and monitor themselves for signs and symptoms.. One of the requirements is for a person to go directly to their place of quarantine without delay and stay there for the duration of their quarantine.
Police say on Thursday, May 27th a member of the Huntsville OPP conducted a quarantine compliance check on behalf of the Public Health Agency of Canada. The officer found that the man subject to quarantine was not at home, and was out in the community. The male received a fine of $3755 for:
- Failuring to comply with an order prohibiting or subjecting to any condition the entry into Canada contrary the Quarantine Act.
