Police Conclude Investigation Into Lion's Lookout Incident
Huntsville OPP have concluded their investigation into the incident that occurred on October 15, at Lion's Lookout in Huntsville.
Just after 8:30am, Police (OPP) along with Huntsville Fire Department and Muskoka Paramedic Services responded to reports of a car going over the cliff at the popular lookout.
Police say that an SUV had driven over the edge of the lookout, jumping a curb and pushing a boulder out of the way and fell 38 meters, landing on its roof.
Police say the two occupants were extricated from the vehicle by Huntsville Fire and transported to a local area hospital. The male driver was treated for minor injuries and released; the female passenger was later transported to a Toronto area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The couple were tourists from out of the country.
Police say no charges were laid.
