Posted: 2020-02-27 07:28:24 By: hbr

During Monday’s  Huntsville town council meeting, a presentation was made to council by Les Ranta, and Sally Wang from EXP Engineering regarding the Main Street Reconstruction and Streetscaping.

3 separate finish options were presented for the new streetscape.

Option 1 would be a more basic approach and the estimated cost is $2 million.

Option 2 would have enhanced features such as concrete pavers, imprinted asphalt etc. at a cost of $3 million, while option 3 would have upgraded materials, Kent park would have a water feature, and would come in at a cost of $ 4.8 million.

It was suggested by the presenters that different features from each option could certainly work as well.

A community information session is scheduled for public feedback on Tuesday March 3, 6-7:30 at Partners Hall.   The public is also invited to provide comments from March 3 to March 16th at engagemuskoka.ca.  Once the public feedback is processed another presentation will be made to council for further discussion.
