RCMP Musical Ride Comes To Burks Falls on Saturday
The Armour Ryerson & Burk’s Falls Agricultural Society and will be welcoming the RCMP Musical Ride to the Burk’s Falls fairgrounds tomorrow for a full day of family friendly entertainment.
Organizers have planned events throughout the day for spectators as they wait to see the world-renowned troop of 32 horses and riders who will be performing at 3 p.m
Every year, the Musical Ride brings its show to communities across the country to perform a variety of figures and drills choreographed to music. The show provides the public with an opportunity to experience the heritage and traditions of the RCMP and raise funds for local charities across Canada.
The Musical Ride was developed in 1876 by early members of the North-West Mounted Police to display their riding abilities and entertain local communities. The first recorded public display of the Musical Ride was in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1901.
