R.I.D.E. Check Snags Drunk Driver - TINY TOWNSHIP
A R.I.D.E. check stop set up on Angela Schmidt Foster Road in Tiny Township was all that was needed to remove 51-year-old Richard Lazdowski of Hillsburgh, ON from the roadway at 9:56 a.m. December 29, 2021. After conducting a drinking and driving investigation, Officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the OPP charged the driver with operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.
The involved 2016 Mercedes- Benz has been towed and impounded for 14 days and the accused's driver's license suspended for a month.
Lazdowski was released from police custody and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on January 13, 2022 to answer to his charges.
