RIDE Check Snares Impaired Driver
On Saturday, Officers from the Huntsville OPP were conducting a RIDE spot check on Ravenscliffe Rd in Huntsville when a car being driven by a 45-year-old Huntsville area man was stopped. Police say they detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver.
A Roadside test was administered to the driver, resulting in a "fail". The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP detachment in Huntsville, Ontario for further testing.
The driver has been charged with Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired-blood alcohol concentration over 80.
Sean Patrick Cooper was released and will be appearing in a Huntsville Court, on December 16th, 2020 to answer to his charge.
