Septic System Study Underway
The District of Muskoka has launched a study into the way Muskoka’s six municipalities handle septic inspections, re-inspections and approvals.
During the most recent District Engineering and Public Works Committee Meeting, councillors received an update on a study that’s currently examining what’s being done and comparing that with other municipalities.
The District goal is to compare Muskoka with the rest of Ontario to see if there are efficiencies and cost savings to be found.
The District’s currently in the process of hiring a consultant. Their job will be to take the scope of work and fine-tune it before developing a Terms of Reference. There will also be talks with each of the six municipalities in Muskoka to get a better understanding of their best practices.
