Bracebridge Mayor Graydon Smith says water levels are starting to recede, but still well above “red zone” levels.  Smith says the MNRF are reducing flows out of areas north of the town including Huntsville, Port Sydney and Baysville.  Smith noted that it will be about 5 days before any real changes in water levels are noticeable.

The town’s financial portal is up and running and anyone who is in need of financial help with regard to flood damage is encouraged to visit the town’s website.  Donations are being taken through the town’s website for anyone who would like to help.

The money will be distributed locally.

Anyone in the recovery phase is encouraged to contact the town for structural, septic and well water issues.  Anyone who has their power turned off should contact the Electric Safety Authority at 1-877-372-7233 or a local qualified electrician for an inspection.
