Swim Advisory In Effect at Gull Lake Beach
The Town of Gravenhurst says that there is a swim advisory in effect at Gull Lake Beach. The Simcoe Muskoka District Health unit gave a recommendation to the town on Monday after taking water samples, which showed increased levels of bacteria in the water. Signs have been posted warning visitors that swimming in the water could increase the risk of developing skin, eye, ear, nose or throat problems. The town says that if residents choose to swim in the water, they should not dunk their head in the water, or swallow it. More information on the swim advisory is available on the Town of Gravenhurst’s website.
