Three Charged With Credit Card Fraud
Three people have been charged with fraud after the OPP were made aware of fraudulent activity involving credit cards and the purchase of large bundles of lottery tickets.
Police say an extensive investigation has led to the arrest of 3 individuals in connection with these events. Charged are:
38 year old Corinne Butler with:
- Fraud Under $5,000 X 7;
- 2 counts of Laundering Proceeds of Crime;
- Possession of property Obtained by Crime
38 year old Raymond Cannon was charged with:
- Fraud Under $5,000 X 6
- Laundering Proceeds of Crime
And 39 year old Stephen Hall was charged with
- 3 counts of Fraud Under $5,000
- Use of Credit Card
- 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Police say the three are not residents of Huntsville, but they have been frequenting the area since October. Police are advising local business owners that there may be outstanding offences that may have taken place in their stores.
