Town of Gravenhurst Meets With Province Over Muskoka Regional Centre
The Town of Gravenhurst is looking work with the new Provincial Government for a renewed opportunity to resume Muskoka Regional Centre (MRC) redevelopment discussions, ultimately attracting a suitable developer to the property.
Mayor Paul Kelly said the town recently had the opportunity to speak with the Provincial Government hoping to return to the negotiating table and find a suitable partner whom is respectful of our economic goals,” said Kelly.
“We’re keeping a very positive outlook on this file,”
A delegation from the Town, including Mayor (elect) Paul Kelly and Glen Davies, the Chief Administrative Officer met with three Parliamentary Ministers at Queens Park in Toronto facilitated by Muskoka-Parry Sound MPP Norm Miller.
During the discussions they highlighted the Muskoka Regional Centre file and emphasized the Town’s objectives of bringing prosperity and employment to Gravenhurst.
