Town of Huntsville Wants You To Get Healthy When Heading Downtown
The Town of Huntsville is encouraging residents and visitors alike to take the #healthyhuntsville pledge this summer when visiting downtown to shop, eat, work, or for an event.
Aimed at encouraging a healthy lifestyle and walking in the downtown core, individuals who take the pledge promise to park their vehicles a few blocks away and walk to Main Street, and contribute to alleviating some of the parking pressures closer to the Main Street.
Rebecca Francis, Policy and Project Coordinator for the Town of Huntsville says “Adding a little exercise to your downtown visits by taking the #healthyhuntsville pledge is good for your physical and mental health. Huntsville has hundreds of parking spots in less than a 5-minute walk to Main Street.
