Two Officers Taken To Hospital
Two police officers were taken to hospital after attending a crash on Hwy 400 yesterday.
Shortly before 6:00 a.m., Police responded to a motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving two commercial motor vehicles resulting in a chemical spill. The responding officer was exposed to a potentially hazardous chemical and was transported to hospital for precautionary medical assessment.
A second officer was conducting traffic control on Highway 400 because of the crash she was hit by a northbound vehicle. The officer suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was also transported to hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
