Vaccine Registration Opens To Adults 55+ On April 30th and 18 Year Olds On May 24th
Today the province, in response to an expected increase in vaccine supply from the federal government, is preparing to ramp up its rollout of COVID-19 vaccines to support at-risk communities. This includes a targeted commitment to allocate 50 per cent of upcoming vaccine shipments to hot spot communities.
Approximately 800,000 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine are expected to arrive in the province each week starting in May, ramping up to 940,000 doses per week by the end of May.
Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health says the province will be able to expand delivery to individuals aged 18 and older as early as the week of May 24th.
Effective April 30, individuals aged 55 and over will be eligible to book a vaccine appointment.
