The Town of Bracebridge says that with the hot summer weather upon us, the Town is experiencing an influx of beachgoers to its public beach parks.

The town says this creates several issues including an increase in unlawful parking, an inability to physical distance and an increased strain on public services, such as washrooms and waste receptacles.

As a result of these concerns, the Town is reminding residents and visitors to observe beach-use best practices and expectations in an effort to help educate and reduce the potential spread of COVID19 including:

  • Bringing necessities such as alcohol-based hand sanitizer disinfectant wipes, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
  • Have a back-up plan in case the beach is too crowded.
  • Plan to take your garbage including masks, disinfectant wipes and recyclables home with you.
  • Before leaving for the beach, complete a COVID-19 self-assessment. If you have COVID-19 symptoms, stay home, seek testing and self-isolate.
