Winter Art Market Returns

The second annual Winter Art Market is the place to find plenty of original local artwork at affordable prices.

A collaboration between the Huntsville Festival of the Arts and Muskoka Unlimited, visitors will find plenty of unique gifts at a variety of price points this season.

From pre-made gift bags featuring postcards, illustration prints and books, to one-of-a-kind paintings, Catajen Boxes, woodcarvings, pottery, stained glass and more; shopping at the Winter Art Market is a great way to show your support for Muskoka artists while not breaking the bank.

As well, the Huntsville Festival of the Arts and Muskoka Unlimited take a minimal commission – much lower than one would expect – to ensure the artists are well compensated while keeping prices reasonable.

“We know it’s not easy to find original and thoughtful gifts while staying local, but we’ve curated an art market that does just that,” says Chris Occhiuzzi, founder of Muskoka Unlimited. “We have plenty of items that make perfect stocking stuffers, as well as feature pieces, to provide great gifting options for the whole community.”

The Winter Art Market takes place Thursday through Sunday at the HFA Studio across from River Mill Park – beside the Mill On Main patio and next to The Friendly Fox back entrance.

“Just look for the blue and white Winter Art Market and Studio open signs,” says Occhiuzzi. “We’re easy to find and will be happy to see you.”

Hours are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and Noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. You can also shop online at and pre-order items for curbside pick-up.

Stop by this week and support local this holiday season.
