Gravenhurst invests $750K in new pumper truck
The Town of Gravenhurst will invest over $750K in a new fire truck. Fire Chief Jared Cayley's told councilors that the new pumping apparatus will replace the department's aging pumper vehicle at the Barkway station.
Cayley emphasized the significant improvement over the current truck. The new vehicle boasts enhanced capabilities, including accommodating more firefighters, off-road capability, foam pumping while moving, and a built-in sprinkler system.
Delivery is expected next year.
