Huntsville outlines road repair schedule for 2024 season
The Town of Huntsville says the municipality is poised for a series of road, sidewalk, and bridge capital projects to start this spring and summer.
The town says each year, infrastructure assets, such as roads and bridges, undergo comprehensive reviews to determine their condition and scheduling for necessary reconstruction as they approach the end of their usable life cycle. Factors influencing rehabilitation needs include routine wear and tear as well as unforeseen emergencies such as weather-related damage, such as flooding.
A partial listing includes road resurfacing on Cora St., Minerva St. E., By-Lock Acres, Gun Club Rd., East Waseosa Lake Rd., Ripple & Pallet Lake Rd. - and Lynx Lake Rd.
Bridgework includes the Old North Rd. Bridge and the Williamsport Rd. Bridge.
And sidewalks will be installed on Howland Dr. from Centre St. to Howland Dr.
