Final testing expected in June
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare says construction is nearly complete on Huntsville’s new MRI suite at the District Memorial Hospital.
The MAHC says that the magnet will arrive on May 6, with final testing in June.
Once operational, the MRI will save patients over 700,000 kilometres in travel and offer 5,000 scans a year locally.
MAHC’s Cheryl Harrison calls it “a powerful step forward in patient care,” made possible by strong community donations through the Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Focus on Imaging campaign.
