The project was paused late last year
Construction is set to resume this spring on a key stretch of Muskoka Road 117 in Baysville.
The District of Muskoka and the Township of Lake of Bays say crews will return in early April to continue work between Bridge Street and Bay Street, with completion expected by the end of 2026. The 780-metre section previously under construction from University Street to Bridge Street paused for the winter.
Upgrades will include a new roundabout, pedestrian crossings, traffic calming measures, a multi-use trail, and a sidewalk, all aimed at improving safety and traffic flow. The project is part of Muskoka’s first Main Streets initiative to enhance local communities.
