Over 27 staffers hit the list in Huntsville, making more than $100,000
The Town of Huntsville and other Muskoka municipalities are in the spotlight after the Province of Ontario released the 2025 Sunshine List, which names public sector employees earning $100,000 or more.
In Huntsville, 27 employees made the list, up from 21 in 2024. Leading the pack is CAO Denise Corry, who earned $193,006.98 last year. Other top earners include Kirstin Mazwell, Director of Development Services, at $164,860.54, and Randy Bissonette, Director of Operations, at $155,723.88.
Bracebridge had 21 employees on the list, unchanged from 2024, with Chief Administrative Officer Rettie Stephen earning $235,163.24. Finance Director Paul Judson and Planning Director Cheryl Kelly both earned $164,270.68.
Gravenhurst reported 19 employees on the list, slightly down from 20 in 2024. CAO Scott Lucas earned $200,013.51, while Director of Infrastructure Services Andrew Stacey made $157,081.11. Directors of Finance/Treasurer and Development Services, Melissa Halford, each earned $152,311.59.
The Township of Muskoka Lakes saw a sharp increase, with 23 employees on the list compared to 11 in 2024. CAO David Pink earned $209,913.48, while Director of Financial Services Gerald Donaldson earned $164,661.10.

Georgian Bay reported 15 employees, down from 21 in 2024. Chief Administrative Officer Greg Mariotti earned $194,566.54, while Director of Finance Jasvinder Rattigan earned $159,193.04.
Beyond municipal offices, several Muskoka health and education leaders also earned top salaries. Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare CEO Cheryl Harrison made $298,458.67, and Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit’s Medical Officer of Health and CEO Dr. Lisa Simon earned $315,041.93. Dr. Colin Lee, Associate Medical Officer of Health, earned $274,378.38. Trillium Lakelands District School Board Director of Education Wes Hahn earned $263,919, while the former Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board Director of Education Frances Bagley earned $282,921.28 before retiring.
The Sunshine List, released annually under the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996, provides transparency on public sector salaries funded by taxpayer dollars. This year’s report shows a mix of municipal administrators, health unit officials, hospital executives, and school board leaders earning salaries that in several cases surpass that of the Premier of Ontario, who made $269,567 in 2025.
The list continues to spark conversation in Muskoka about compensation in the public sector and the allocation of taxpayer funds.
