The crash resulted in a fire and closed Hwy 118 while police investigated
Police are investigating a deadly crash in Haliburton County that claimed two lives Sunday morning.
It happened around 11:40 on Highway 118 near Carnarvon when a motorcycle collided with a transport truck, sparking a fire that was later put out by firefighters.
A 79-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman on the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers
