Bracebridge business survey shows improvements over 2022
Bracebridge Council heard the results of the 2023 Annual Business Survey noting that only 126 out of 940 businesses participated, marking a 13 percent drop.
The survey revealed positive trends such as decreased recruitment challenges compared to the previous year at 31% and almost half of respondents reporting increased profits.
Looking forward, 45% of businesses expressed intentions to expand within the next three years, contrasting with only 2% considering downsizing.
Despite these encouraging findings, Mayor Rick Maloney highlighted concerns about housing, which he noted was not specifically highlighted in the survey despite being a prominent issue raised anecdotally by many business owners in the community.
