Clement Says Liberals Are Trying To Buy Election Victory With Budget
Local MP Tony Clement expressed his disappointment with the Liberal budget yesterday.
Clement said the Government sprayed billions of dollars at projects in an attempt to get voters to cast a ballot for Liberals in the next election.
Clement pointed out that this was the year the Liberals promised to bring the budget into balance and “instead the deficit will be nearly $20 Billion dollars.”
Clement says each Canadian now owes the equivalent of $50,000 to pay for the country debt, a number that keeps growing.
Clement is also concerned that the spending wasn’t concentrated on any one project, like affordable housing or skills training, saying effectively, the projects will come up short on actually achieving the government’s goals.
