Driver and students recognized by TLDSB for actions related to bus fire

In a recent Trillium Lakelands District School Board meeting, several individuals were honored for their commitment to student safety. Bus driver Garry Thompson and Huntsville students Kennedy, Corbyn, and Aspen were recognized for their quick thinking during a crisis on January 13.
When Thompson noticed a problem with his bus, he pulled over and calmly directed the three students to help evacuate their classmates. Their swift actions ensured everyone was safely away just before a fire broke out in the bus.
The Board expressed gratitude for their bravery and dedication to student safety.
