LOB & Huntsville collaborate on Weather Engine App

The Town of Huntsville and the Township of Lake of Bays have unveiled The Weather Engine, a new online mapping system providing real-time weather and environmental updates. Developed by the municipalities’ GIS team, the platform consolidates 16 data sources into one easy-to-use system, helping residents and staff stay informed about local conditions.
Features include live weather alerts, wildfire and flood monitoring, air quality updates, and snowfall tracking.
GIS Technician Jose Augustine says the tool is essential for road crews, emergency teams, and property owners assessing environmental risks.
