The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit reported 8 new cases this afternoon, all of them located in Simcoe County.  There are no new cases in Muskoka today.

Province wide 399 new cases of COVID-19 were reported today, a slight decline from yesterday.

Meanwhile, Premier Doug Ford talked with area mayors and is calling on people not to travel to cottage country on the long  weekend, saying there will be plenty of long weekends to come - that message was targeted at visitors to the area, while cottage owners were asked to follow health guidelines.
