On August 14, Bracebridge Council decided to keep 94 Manitoba Street, the Carnegie Library, for municipal use, following recommendations from the Downtown Master Plan.

The town says the site will now house the Town's Planning and Development Department, including Economic Development, Planning Services, Building Services, and the Muskoka Small Business Centre.

The Town also plans to explore co-locating with the Downtown Bracebridge Business Improvement Area, Visitor Information Centre, and Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce to create a Business Development Centre.

The town says the hub will offer services like business consultations and funding guidance. The project will begin this fall, with occupancy expected in early 2025.
