Gravenhurst Councilors Have More Questions Than Answers On Province's Re-opening Plan

Gravenhurst Councillors  discussed changes to Ontario’s re-opening plan that has left many people confused about the new regulations.

According to Councillor Jo Morphy, she’s received some questions about whether retail stores will be allowed to re-open with a 25 per cent capacity regardless of the zone colour. An answer was not fully given.

Mayor Paul Kelly says “We at this point in time have not been made aware of what colour in the framework that Muskoka or Simcoe Muskoka would be part of.”

Chief Administrative Officer Glen Davies believes Muskoka will remain in the grey zone, but that when more details are released, the grey zone will be slightly different than it was prior to Christmas.

The Province has extended the stay-at-home and lockdown orders for Simcoe-Muskoka until at least Feb. 16.
