Green Party leader meets with Richter for 'Local Champions Tour'
Ontario Greens leader Mike Schreiner wrapped up a two-day visit to Parry Sound–Muskoka as part of his “Local Champions Tour,” meeting with local candidate Matt Richter and highlighting the Greens’ support for communities left behind by Doug Ford’s government. The pair attended the Fire and Ice Festival, knocked on doors, and spoke with local groups like the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario. Richter criticized Ford's priorities, pointing to billions spent on projects like the 401 tunnel while local needs are ignored.
Meanwhile, Progressive Conservative leader Graydon Smith continues to criticize the Greens' policies, particularly their proposed carbon tax hike and ban on natural gas hookups, calling them punitive and unaffordable.
He argued these policies would force Ontarians to make drastic changes to their lifestyles.
