Huntsville Councilors give go ahead for new Wayfinding Signage
Huntsville Councilors decided on a design of the new wayfinding signs to be installed to help direct residents and visitors to town parks, facilities and points of interest.
At the September General Committee Meeting, Town staff shared the wayfinding signage package for the “Circuit A” phase of the roll out.
Circuit A will be used to direct vehicular traffic off of main highways towards points of interest and parking in Huntsville.
Council discussed whether to use all steel posts at a higher cost or a mix of steel posts, and wooden posts that cost less in lower traffic, lower visibility areas.
Councillors chose design option two – aluminum signs, special cut into arrow shapes, and selected a mixture of steel and wooden posts in order to provide cost savings.
