MAHC break ground for new MRI in Huntsville
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) and the Huntsville Hospital Foundation have launched construction for Muskoka’s first MRI machine at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held yesterday was attended by dignitaries and donors, and marks the beginning of a 3,700-square foot addition for the MRI.
With provincial support and community fundraising, the project aims to end long travel times for MRI services, benefitting residents of Muskoka and East Parry Sound.
Scheduled for completion in spring 2025, the new MRI facility at MAHC will enhance local healthcare with advanced imaging technology, supporting critical medical care in the region.
