MAHC Closes For Visitation With Stay At Home Order
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare says that as a second state of emergency has been declared for the Province, The MAHC has restricted general visitation to both hospitals in line with the stay-at-home order that started today.
Going forward, no visitors are permitted, with a few exceptions on a case-by-case basis for compassionate reasons. Exceptions include special situations like obstetrical patients who can have one support person during labour and compassionate circumstances for palliative, and critical patients.
The MAHC says that if you have a family member or friend in either of their two hospital sites, you can get a message delivered to their bedside through their website at mahc.ca/BestWishes/
Outpatient clinics, appointments and elective surgery continues. However, this could change in the future. Stay up to date at mahc.ca/COVID-19/.
