Man charged with shoplifting and trafficking

A Huntsville man is facing multiple charges after police responded to a theft at businesses on Howland Drive Saturday evening.
Huntsville OPP say they arrested 29-year-old Scott James Hampson and found stolen items, along with a quantity of drugs. Investigators also believe he may be linked to recent acts of vandalism involving spray-painted walls and signs in the community.
Hampson is charged with two counts of shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance for trafficking.
He’s set to appear in court in Bracebridge on April 22.
