Man faces assault and firearms charges
Bracebridge OPP have charged a Muskoka Lakes man with weapons-related offenses following a dispute on Monday evening.
Police say that just after 7 p.m., officers responded to a call on Doherty Road where a person had allegedly been assaulted.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect had made threats involving a firearm, raising concerns for his well-being. With assistance from the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit and Emergency Response Team, the 48-year-old man was arrested.
He faces charges including assault, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless storage of firearms.
He will appear in court on December 17.
