Multiple wildfires prompt No Daytime Burning rule
The Town of Huntsville has advised that burning restrictions are back in place.
The Fire Dept. says that daytime burning is currently not permitted until further notice due to current weather conditions. Small fires are permitted after 6pm and must be fully extinguished before 8am.
Minimal rain and dry forest beds have kept fire crews busy over the last couple days. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) also has minimal crews available to assist because of other bush fires they are battling in our region.
Consult with your local By-law Dept. for outdoor burning regulations in your municipality.
The Chiefs would like to thank the public for their cooperation and understanding.
